The Saron Heavy Rail Beam replaces the gunner weapon with a very accurate armor piercing laser. The weapon has a brief charge-up delay before firing. The projectile has a medium velocity and no drop-off. It will kill any non-MAX infantry target in 1 direct hit.
[edit] Field usage
Belonging to the Vanu Sovereignty High End Arsenal, the Saron Heavy Rail Beam can make the difference on the battlefield. However, for greatest efficiency, the Magrider driver must be skilled and the turret operator must have some practice first. Being a secondary weapon, the unsteadiness and current incline of the battle tank limits the maneuverability of the turret.
[edit] Assault
If the opposing vehicle (or any other units, actually) is not at full health, one shot will usually result in one kill. Aiming can be difficult, because damage occurs only on a direct hit. Any upgrade enhancing visibility of the target is recommended.
It is also important to mind the slow reload speed. Each failed shot results in a significant gap in damage output.
[edit] Support
Thanks to the very long range, the Magrider does not have to be in close proximity to the battleground. Chasing away and also flanking enemies from a distance to hit weak spots of heavily armored foes is one good use of the Saron Heavy Rail Beam . One should consider upgrading Zoom Optics to the highest rank.
