The Scythe is the Vanu Sovereignty's air vehicle that counters the Terran Republic's Mosquito and the New Conglomerate's Reaver. It can be configured for air-to-air, air-to-ground, or a combination of both. Compared to the other empires' air vehicles, the Scythe has the fastest lateral movement speed.

In early Alpha, the aircraft was called the Vortex, and then the Dyson, but those names were short-lived.
