Discovery-7
The Discovery-7 was a civilian starship in Tom Connery’s Wormhole Expedition fleet. On January 6, 2642, the ship was destroyed during negotiations between Mission Commander Connery, Colonel Richmond Morgannis, and representatives of the civilian insurgency called in response to an armed attack on the bridge of the Explorer-5 several days earlier. The explosion, secretly masterminded by Lieutenant Commander Brent Waterson, took the lives of all 592 people on board the ship and was officially blamed on members of the insurgency. In the wake of the disaster, Waterson assumed control of the fleet as Provisional Commander.
