We are a Veteran Battlefield Clan, our experience spans all the way back over every PC Battlefield title back to, and beyond Battlefield 2 and Battlefield 2142. Some folks may remember us, we ran a top 100 BF2142 server in the world and top 10 in the Oceania region. Though some of us still play Battlefield titles we are expanding into PS2, many of us feel its got the vibe of 2142 and therefore something that has steadily declined and been lost from recent Battlefield efforts, namely versatile gameplay and great co-operative squad play!
S.A.F Clan, unlike most clans, did not have an open recruiting policy until now.
In the past we have always operated on the basis that if you squad up with us, play well, responsibly and pull your weight over a period of time then someone within the clan will nominate you. Then we will at some point put your recruitment into the clan to an internal vote. If that vote goes well invitation to be a clan regular will be extended to you.
This policy has been extended a little to facilitate the outfit system in PS2.
The way were going to work it is this :
Newly invited players will be kept as recruit level until were satisfied youre suitable for inclusion. Players CAN ask to be Outfit recruits, we may even actively post at places designated for recruiting.
Once you have been in as recruit for a while either we will promote you to Private rank or you can ask to be promoted to private rank (if we agree). That request, and indeed all outfit requests in general, must be placed here.
Recruits are new players on trial periods, Private rank are non Clan players who have proven themselves suitable for the Outfit as long term players.
Being Recruit or Private level DOES NOT mean you are S.A.F Clan, it means we like you well enough to invite you to participate in Planetside 2 SAFClan [SAFC] Outfit activities, until such times you have proved yourself worthy of being invited to join the S.A.F Clan.
The only official Clan membership levels of the SAFC Outfit are S.A.F Regular, S.A.F Officer and S.A.F Leader.
Only S.A.F Officers and S.A.F Leaders have the powers to promote/demote outfit members.
