His edits are appreciated, but they have some minor grammatical issues that need to be addressed. I am slowly working my way through them. I am only attempting to correct grammar. Whether or not the content is accurate or within the wiki style guidelines is up to you and the rest of the wiki members.

[edit] Thanks
Thanks for the templates and whatnot for the List of Outfits page. Will certainly keep things more organized. Onwee 15:52, 19 June 2012 (CDT)
[edit] Wikify
I'm not experienced with templates. Can we get a wikify one? Like this. I think it will help with some of the outfit pages. Onwee 17:43, 19 June 2012 (CDT)
[edit] Scope of the Wiki
Apologies if this should be apparent or is covered elsewhere, but I wanted to double check with someone in the know before I step on anyone's foot. My understanding is that the scope of the wiki is almost entirely PlanetSide 2, with "historical" references to PlanetSide where appropriate (such as the "In PlanetSide" sections to some of the weapon pages). Is this accurate, or is there more of a dichotomoy to it than that?
I ask because some pages, such as the Vehicle page, seem to be PlanetSide oriented, while others (my Weapons page serves) are PlanetSide 2 focused. I'd be happy to write up a new, PS2 oriented vehicle page and put the current material into a historical subsection, but I don't want to ruin the flow of the Wiki if that's not where you're going with it.
Thanks for any input! Nimbal 14:58, 20 June 2012 (CDT)
- Thanks for the reply, I'll keep that in mind as I go through adding/changing pages and try to unify the flow of information. Nimbal 16:55, 20 June 2012 (CDT)
[edit] History Lessons
I'm currently working on a timeline and general setting history for PS2 for players interested in the game's redone lore. I wanted to ask where you thought the best place for that kind of content would be. Would a History or Setting page be appropriate? I feel like it might be too much information for a subheading under the main PS2 page. --Nimbal 19:01, 25 June 2012 (CDT)
- Yeah, I think a Lore page would be most appropriate if it's very long. Quovatis 13:15, 26 June 2012 (CDT)
- A subsection on the main PlanetSide 2 page with some quick facts or a brief summary of the Lore, and than directing them to the main Lore page for more information would be nice. MasterCalaelen 13:20, 26 June 2012 (CDT)
[edit] Question about rank icons
I am a little anonymous, but ingame im called Soukakku on Mallory incase you need a name for being anonymous and not logged in.
With my little introduction out of the way... I have noticed a little odd thing on the Battle Ranks page. http://wiki.planetside-universe.com/ps/Battle_Rank
On Battle Ranks 23 through 25 for both NC and TR, they are identical to the ranks seen on Ranks 26 through 28 while the VS ranks 23-25 seem to display correctly. I guess it is a little miss, but the NC and TR ranks on 23 to 25 should have two 'bars' at the top, not three. I hope this helps. "Soukakku" 16:47, 17 February 2013 (CST)
- I saw the comment. Those were the icons pulled out the game assets, and they are apparently incorrect. We'll try to fix it soon. Thanks. Quovatis (talk) 17:15, 17 February 2013 (CST)
[edit] Reply
I am new to editing wikis, so IDK if this is the appropriate location to reply. But you recently left a note on my talk page concerning redirects, and I must say that I disagree. The search function on the wiki for PS-universe.com is horrid. Why can I not look up my clan's tags, or my clan's actual name for that matter, and be directed straight to my clan's wiki page? This goes for any clan for that matter. Take your own outfit for example, searching for "KOJ" takes you nowhere, and I doubt the term "KOJ" could mean anything else besides Keepers of Johari. As for other terms such as "KOS" there are disamb. pages to differentiate between the terms. Now take for example searching my clan name, "Clan Magnus Legio". 6 links show up, and to a less experienced wiki user, these links can be an eye-sore. Now you can argue that users will commonly click the first link, but what happens when you search "CML"? Clan Magnus Legio is nowhere near the top. It is actually the second to last link, now I don't think CML could mean anything else in-game, and nor can it refer to another outfit since clan tags are unique. As long as redirects are not abused, redirects are a very useful tool. Not everyone will be using redirects anyway, but to the users who take initiative to contribute to this wiki will find this as a valuable asset. We have mods, such as yourself and other users, who are work very well to police this website and I thank you for it. But the main point of a wiki is organized, easy-to-access information. Thus, the rule against no redirects to outfits is counterproductive. Because of this, I highly suggest you reevaluate your unwritten rule of no redirects to outfits, and expect a reply. Thank you in advance. Valiant Viet (talk) 19:40, 12 May 2013 (CDT)
Thanks for the swift reply and appreciate that your administration will discuss this. Although not a big issue, I feel it can be very helpful. I hope that you will come to the right decision, but regardless I appreciate your understanding and reciprocally understand your position. Valiant Viet (talk) 02:57, 14 May 2013 (CDT)
[edit] Reply Weapon Stats
I actually am a complete noob when it comes to wiki editing and html. I have no idea how to use the #switch statement, If I had known how to I would have done it that way. I created a table for the data, which I put on the LA8 Rebel page. I would like to have a template for this that is formatted like all the other tables on the wiki. How do I do that?
I got the stats from the google docs spreadsheet that keeps track of all of the stats and weapon changes Weapon Data Spreadsheet https://docs.google.com/a/terpmail.umd.edu/spreadsheet/lv?key=0AuOojvNLMApVdEtIU1NKenEzNzZOSWNaanFqSUVxLWc&type=view&gid=12.
I also noticed when I was working on adding weapon data that the SMG page is completely screwed up. Fierce deity (talk) 16:20, 1 June 2013 (CDT)
