Guidelines

I'm thinking we may have to talk about some guidelines for this page to avoid a cluster once this game gets ridiculously huge.

1. Should only outfits with a wiki page be listed? I would say yes. If not people can potentially treat this list like an advertisement instead of actual content. 
2. Should a key be developed? If so, it should list available options to put in a column. This will make it more standardized
3. Add a specialization column? This can be for the outfits that just want to be Air, or vehicle, or whatever.
4. Should member count be removed? Perhaps replace it with "size" (Small, medium, large). In it's current form it will probably become inaccurate.

Want to know what the community thinks before I go change anything.

I don't think they need a wiki page to be listed here. A non-member could list another outfit if they wish. I don't see the problem, nor as an advertisement. Specialization column could be useful, though I assume most outfits aren't that specialized and might be better off on their own outfit page. I agree member count should probably be removed and left on the outfit pages. It's too dynamic.

I changed the template where you can have a link but not be recruiting. Just set recruiting=N in the template and provide a url. Howevever, I'm starting to question whether this column is even needed or should just be replaced with a link. Quovatis 22:36, 11 June 2012 (CDT)

I'm going to be honest, this page is kind of silly. I've been in three outfits since launch, and two of them dissolved. Who is going to keep this information updated?

Also, I don't even see the two main outfits on my server (Jaeger), yet I see others I've never heard of. --96.38.49.169 05:14, 2 January 2013 (CST)

Too complicated for me also, I'd like to add Drunken Legion TR on Briggs [DLGN] http://www.drunkenlegion.co.nz/ but wouldn't know how to get it in the right alphabetical order. Shame cause it's a cool outfit.

I don't see a reason to call this page silly, since every outfit has the opportunity to represent itself, if wished. Just putting the name in the list does not seem practical to me, since the reason to put it in there should be more than "Hey, we exist but we have nothing else to tell" Therefore it should be forced to have at least a little content corresponding to the Outfit. Maybe, when the official PlanetSide2-Players-Site has the outfit part, the PSU-list should be updated and not existing outfits deleted. @DLGN-member: I never ever made or editted a wiki content, but I managed to do so here for my first time.
