The Spawn Beacon is an item obtained through certification in Squad Leader which when deployed will give squad members a Drop Pod spawn location. The beacon can be deployed anywhere and will emit a bright cone of light, visible to both friendly and enemies. The color of the light depends on the empire of the player that deployed it (blue for NC, red for TR, and purple for VS).
There is a cooldown timer of two and a half minutes between squad members being able to deploy on the beacon. Each additional point in the Spawn Beacon Certification will reduce the cooldown by 15 seconds, down to one minute and 15 seconds. The beacon is automatically put into your inventory when you are the squad leader and have the Spawn Beacon Certification. The item does not have to be purchased or manually equipped.
