The Terran Republic Mini Chaingun
The Mini Chaingun (MCG) is the Terran Republic's Heavy Assault weapon. The Mini Chaingun has a simple function: to unleash as many bullets as possible, in the shortest amount of time possible; and it does this quite well. With good range and low recoil, the Mini Chaingun is highly effective against infantry. While not particularly damaging per individual shot, the sheer rate-of-fire can easily rip apart an enemy soldier in its field of fire.
Its primary drawback is its high rate of ammunition consumption although the sacrifice of impact damage for rate-of-fire does affect its performance as well.
